The Birth of Troy

I knew this birth was going to be fast and boy was I right! I got the text that she was having contractions around 8am but she wanted to labor at home for a bit. I decided I would leave as soon as they left for the hospital to be sure I would make it. The new rules at the hospital are that I couldn't come up as the doula until she was admitted and out of triage. I was them in the waiting room and knew it wouldn't be long. I waited downstairs until I was allowed up and got the news she was 9cm and I could come up! I got into the room a little after 1:20 and baby boy was born at 1:54PM. It was such a perfect beautiful birth and the natural birth this mom really wanted! I was so honored to capture this special day for them.
